Covert Security Features

Covert features in a hologram are invisible to the naked eye, and not immediately discernable to the average person. Covert features require a special device in order to see them, and provide an additional layer of security in a hologram. Examples of covert elements that can be built into a hologram include:

easi-float – Floating Image Hologram (FIH) that when illuminated with a simple flashlight, the FIH appears to float off the surface of the image.

Single Axis CLR (Covert Laser Retrievable) – Images or characters that are undecipherable to the human eye. They are decoded by illuminating the coded area with a laser device and looking for the refracted light projected back at a specific angle.

Dual Axis CLR (Covert Laser Retrievable) – Images or characters that are undecipherable to the human eye. They are decoded by illuminating the coded area with a laser device and looking at the refracted light projected back at a specific angle. Dual Axis CLRs have more than one set of images or characters that are viewed at ninety degree angles from each other.
